About Shaynah Kinner

Shaynah Kinner is independently owned and operated. We are very proud about the fact that we have been a trusted part of the community for 25 years as of January 2nd, 2006. Our dedicated staff includes a director and a head teacher that have been here for all 25 years. As well as a teacher who has been with us for 9 years. The dedication and professionalism of our staff is second to none. That is a very big plus for our center!

Safety and Security

The main entrance door has a parent coded security lock and buzzes each time it is opened. All staff are expected to “look” each time that buzzer sounds. The outside play area is fenced in with a lock on all the gates. We have a basketball court, a “tyke” track, a sand box, a sliding board, a spring whale toy, a jungle gym, and two swings along with many outside toys. Everything is child safe

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is clean and neat. The children are taught to clean-up after themselves. The walls are always colorful and cheerfully decorated. There are windows in each room so the children can see out side.

The PA Department of Welfare License allows us to care for 36 children at any one time. The required ratio is 1:10. We usually have a ratio of 1:7 or 8. Our children must be potty trained and 3 years old. We are very proud of the individual attention that we give to all of our children!

Our Staff

Shaynah Kinner supports a full-time staff consisting of two dedicated and experienced teachers who hold degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, as well as an Owner/Director who holds an RN degree. The rest of our staff meets or exceeds PA Department of Welfare Regulations criteria. All of our staff takes the mandated 6 hours of annual training. The Department of Welfare requires that one staff person on duty have first aide training. All of our staff is required to be First Aide/ CPR trained.
