Faith Wanner is the new owner of Shaynah Kinner.  She has over twenty-one years of experience working with children ages three to sixth grade.  She graduated from Kutztown University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Psychology.  She worked for the Kutztown Area School District for six years with inclusion children and the IST program.  After leaving the district, she joined the Berks County Intermediate Unit as a wrap-around kindergarten teacher for eight years and a specialized preschool teacher for seven years.  As a specialized preschool teacher, she provided an inclusive environment for children with a variety of special needs like; autism, learning disabilities, and cerebral palsy.  She is trained in Safety Care, CPR/First Aid, and a variety of adaptive/communication techniques.

Faith is married to her husband Michael for sixteen years and has a daughter Olivia that has attended Shaynah Kinner since she was five years old.  She does enjoy reading, gardening, and cooking in her spare time.

She feels lucky to have had this opportunity to continue the traditions and excellent service that has been provided by the staff at Shaynah Kinner for the past 33 years.  She enjoys taking care of children and providing an environment that promotes the growth and development of all children so they can become productive and prepared students.


rosaria_shaynah_kinnerRosaria Angstadt was the original owner of Shaynah Kinner. She trained as an RN at Allentown Hospital School of Nursing and worked at the Allentown Hospital and Topton Lutheran Home upon her graduation.  After she had her twins she decided to stay home to raise them and started babysitting  so she could be with her children while they were little. From that experience she grew a bit each year and in 1981 opened Shaynah Kinner Day Care Center. She offers the children much kindness and love and helps them be comfortable away from their parents. Rosaria also enjoys her grandchildren, her horses, and her dog.

denise_shaynah_kinnerDenise Keim is the head teacher and assistant director at Shaynah Kinner.  She graduated from Kutztown University with a dual degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  Denise has been the head teacher here at Shaynah Kinner since 1981.  In her spare time, she enjoys doing puzzles and sunning at the beach.


Emily Schlegel is a 2007 graduate of Kutztown Area High School.  She graduated from Kutztown University in 2010 with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  Emily previously worked as a teller at Fleetwood Bank.  Emily lives in Mertztown with her husband Jonah, daughter Eden and son Nicodemus. Emily enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and officiating field hockey games.

Katelyn Manwiller  graduated from Kutztown Area High School in 2014. She is currently attending Kutztown University majoring in Elementary Education, prek-grade 4. Katelyn enjoys walking her dog, Hercules, being outdoors and camping with her family.

Brenda Bower is a graduate of Allentown Business School. She’s a former employee of Longswamp Learning Center in Mertztown. She’s lived in Mertztown for 41 years. Presently she’s cleaning homes and working for Healthy Alternatives, a healthfood store in Trexlertown. She’s enjoying camping, baking and playing Mrs. Clause for the Trexlertown Fire Company. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her grandson, Jayce and family. She is looking forward to working with the children at Shaynah Kinner.

Lori Reidenhour is a graduate of Kutztown Area High School. She is married to her husband Gary since 1978. Lori has a son, daughter, and 3 granddaughters. Lori enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.

Carla Lang joined our staff in January 2017. She graduated from Kutztown Senior High School. She is married, and has a son and daughter. Carla was a stay at home mom until her children were older. She has worked in the Oley Valley School District in the past with all age children, students who needed one on one help, and in the life skills classroom. She has always volunteered in her children’s classrooms since they were in preschool. In Carla’s free time she enjoys, crocheting, pencil drawings, some paintings but her true passion is knitting. She loves to knit using patterns already written and also writing her own patterns.
